Sparrows Nest Gardens is ideally located for a wonderful day trip that the whole family will enjoy, as it is only a short walk away from the Suffolk Coastline, Britain’s most Easterly point, and the town centre. This makes it the perfect place for a day trip.
The gardens, which are home to three of the city’s museums, present visitors with an excellent opportunity to learn more about the history and heritage of the city. The gardens are also a park of the scores trail, which was used to connect the market district of the town to the fishing village in the past.

The town lighthouse, which is still in use today, stands in dominating position above the gardens.

People who want to get their hearts pumping a little bit more can enjoy themselves at the bowling alley or on the putting greens.

Children and their families have a lot of fun at the children’s play area and during the summer events programme that are held there. Families can take advantage of the entertainment while enjoying a summer picnic.

Those who simply want to take in the beauty of the gardens can do so while also taking advantage of the numerous restorative options that are available at the on-site restaurant and cafe.
